Fray is about true, personal stories and original art. We publish a themed book four times a year. Our next theme is:
Geek: Stories of People Taking Things Way Too Seriously
"Geek" doesn't just mean "computer nerd". To be a geek about something is to love it unconditionally - to have it crawl into that special place in your mind, where it takes up residence, crowding all the normal things out.
There are many kinds of geeks: superfans, cinephiles, deadheads, collectors, enthusiasts devoted to the sublimely obscure. This issue of Fray seeks to illuminate the many faces of geekdom, from the inside out. What are you a geek about?
We seek photos, illustration, and art on this theme for possible inclusion in the book.
The Reward: $45

Submission Guidelines:
- Maximum 10 photo or illustration submissions per member.
- Images must be at least 2000 pixels wide/high.
- Any digital adjustments (color, contrast, sharpness) allowed.
- Illustrations can be hand-drawn, vector line art, paintings, or mixed-media.
- File types allowed: JPG, GIF, or PNG.
The Publication
Fray is the quarterly of true stories and original art, publishing online since 1996 and in print since 2008.
Your work will appear online at fray.com and printed in ‘Fray Quarterly’.
